About Virtue

XII VIRTUE ("Twelfth Virtue") is a Seattle-based designer clothing brand, focused on telling stories through narrative art.

Our name is inspired by Aristotle’s twelfth virtue of justice - the ability to judge right from wrong. This is an example of a sensitive topic that could bring people together if they could have a genuine conversation and share their different experiences and perspectives. But unfortunately, that's not always the case.

XII VIRTUE's goal is to use fashion as a vehicle to create common ground. The things that inspired our artwork are moments that gave us a shared interest with others and opened an opportunity to for us to want to understand each other.

"XII VIRTUE tells my journey as a creative - a kid that's desperate to be an artist, but is constantly fighting a world telling him he'd be better off doing something more 'practical'. The stories told through XII VIRTUE's artwork and designs are inspired by the things that keep me addicted to the idea of being artist. Flashy anime power-up scenes, my pretenious imagination of how a music video should have been done, and even a cheesy K-drama slow-mo keep my mind racing of 'what if' I gave this artist thing a shot and bring these ideas to life.
